This was a really good read. This book was racist and misogynistic, but since it was set during the Civil War, it was to be expected. It was a slow read, at first, but once you got into it, it was read faster. This is a perfect example of character development. I didn't like Scarlett at first, but as time went on, I started to like her, started to root for her, and then related to her. I would definitely recommend this.
